Parish Charity Fund

Picture
"Angels Unaware" by Timothy P. Schmalz
We are inviting people to make donations to a charity fund that we can use to try to support the needs of people that seek our help in the parishes. As a town centre parish, we get many callers at the door and with a fund we might be able to provide for some of their needs at the discretion of the priest. For example, we might be able to provide a voucher for a hot meal or purchase a sleepingbag.

If you are able to donate, please use an envelope and post the donation in the letterboxes (St John's or St Joseph's) or send it to us by mail to St John's, marked 'Parish Charity Fund'.

As always, only give as you are able to and thank you for those who have already given so generously.

St Chad's Sanctuary Project

As Banbury Catholic parishes we are really proud to continue to support St Chad's Sanctuary project, which is a voluntary project supported by many friends, including St. Chad’s Cathedral and The Salvation Army.

It’s a place of welcome and hospitality for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Immigrants. We greatly appreciate donations of food, hygiene items and clothing and on our newsletter we list the items you can deliver to St. John's presbytery.

For the latest items needed please visit the Sanctuary website.

Thank you to our volunteers who transport the items to Birmingham!

If you would like to find out more please ring the Parish Office or speak to Fr Ryan who has volunteered at the project (pictured at the Centre on the day campaigning about the Climate Emergency).
