The Seven Sacraments of the Catholic Church
The Sacraments are important for each of us. In order to receive these wonderful gifts we have to spend some time in preparation. The best preparation for receiving any Sacrament is at home, within the family, as you celebrate your faith together.
There are seven Sacraments in the Catholic Church. These are: BAPTISM CONFIRMATION EUCHARIST RECONCILIATION MARRIAGE HOLY ORDER ANOINTING OF THE SICK |
The following pages of our website offer some practical advice on how to prepare for you child's for Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation, or to plan your Marriage at St John's or St Joseph's.
If your child attends a non-Catholic school, they will miss out on the opportunity to prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation in school. Our parish offers the support children need to learn about their faith. This link offers some information about how we can help you.
Safeguarding
Our two Catholic Parishes in Banbury are dedicated to promoting and ensuring the protection of all children and young people. We work closely with the Archdiocese of Birmingham, which works within the national guidelines, to ensure that adults who have regular contact with children and youth have the relevant checks and are approved for their roles and trained in maintaining a safe environment within our parish.
